About Hyperface
We are a very young and ambitious startup based out of Bangalore and Mumbai. Our team is a group of engineers and product folks who specialize in solving payments and fintech problems. The world is witnessing a radical transformation in the banking and financial services sector. Our company is creating an infrastructure that will accelerate embedded finance, specifically in the credit space.
We are funded by a clutch of awesome angels whose LPs include founders of companies such as CRED, Square, and Marqueta. Our prospective client list includes well-funded neobanks and top e-commerce companies.
The design team at Hyperface works across most projects – mobile app/PWA journeys for the end credit card user, developer toolkits, dashboards, documentation, branding, website, UI design kits, client presentations, etc. As an infrastructure, we enable others to build, and hence we take great care in creating user journeys that can inspire our clients to create great UX as well.
You will be expected to
- Create style guides and design systems that can be used by UI developers.
- Understand the product requirements clearly and create relevant information architecture and user flows
- Work with engineers and product managers to define both the long-term strategy and the short-term tactics for our products
- Work in a highly collaborative fashion with the design, product, and project teams
- Assist the leadership team in setting the long-term strategy for the design team.
- Lead regular design reviews with the leadership team.
- Mentor junior designers in the team
You would be a fit if you:
- Have experience designing for business and developer-focused products
- Have 3-6 years of hands-on product/UI design experience on mobile-focussed consumer products.
- Tools Expertise: Figma and at least one high-fidelity prototyping tool like Flinto / Principle / Framer / Origami.
- Have prior experience in creating a UI design system that is/was used in production.
- Have the ability to document the processes, communicate clearly with project members and persuade the stakeholders.
- Care about details and are excited to keep pushing your work until is pixel-perfect
- Think in systems, identify patterns, and generally have the big picture understanding
- Find the right balance between crafting a great experience and shipping the product within the deadline.
Additionally, it would be great if you:
- Have conducted user research and turned the insights into actual (successful) design work.
- Have a published design portfolio (please share the link with us when you apply for this position).
- Are aware of the latest trends & frameworks around building dense but usable mobile-first experiences.
- Have an understanding of product design principles for digital fintech products.
